Re-hire Paul Chernosky as Skating Santa

The Issue

Dear friends, I've been the one and only Skating Santa at Rockefeller Center for 15 years. Just recently, I was fired without any reason due to new management.

If you've ever been to Rock Center at Christmas time and seen Santa on the ice, it's me. Year after year, I see many of the same people and families who have made skating at Rockefeller Center a part of their holiday tradition. Children have had their photos taken with me every year - I've seen them grow up into young adults, enter college, and start new careers. Now these young adults come back to continue the tradition. People ask for me by name; not any old Skating Santa will do! Some people, I've kept in touch with and have become friends with.

Every year, I look forward to coming back as Skating Santa at Rockefeller Center. It's also become a Christmas tradition for me. It's not just a job, it's an honor. I currently live out of the country, but I always look forward to coming back to Nw York City each winter. Without this job, there will be a void in my life. That's why it was a shock to me when I was informed less than two weeks before the beginning of the skating season that I would not be invited back this year. While there is some new management that transitioned in at the end of last year's season, I was given no reason why I was not going to be able to return to my job this year.

Please help me keep the tradition alive - especially if Skating Santa at Rock Center has been a part of your holiday tradition. Thanks for your support. Hopefully by Saturday November 30th, I'll be Ho-ho-hoing on the ice once again!
