Downtown Knoxville restaurants (you know who you are): Welcome food trucks as part of a diverse, healthy urban environment

The Issue

The restaurants that have hired an attorney and say that food trucks downtown will "adversely affect the loyal customer base" are alienating us, their customers, who feel strongly that downtown can support both restaurants and food trucks. If they have specific concerns, such as the lack of public restrooms, then they can ask the City to provide those as part of food truck regulations. We believe food trucks bring more people downtown. http://blogs.metropulse.com/the_daily_pulse/2013/09/downtown-restaurants-to-food-t.html
