Bring back vintage Sebastian The Ibis logo, w/pipe, bandage & orange top.

The Issue

Long-time fans of the University of Miami athletics programs have an affinity for the vintage Sebastian The Ibis logo that was beloved during UM's "Decade Of Dominance" in football, starting in the late seventies and lasting until the early nineties, when the logo was changed in order to be more politically correct, as the pipe "promoted" smoking and the bandage, a roughneck and scrapper.

Times have since changed and with head coach Al Golden trying to recapture the true spirit of Miami Football, as well as a belief in the overall strong brand that is "The U", it is time to bring back the version of Sebastian The Ibis that fans know and love, and that the college football knows is synonymous with the University of Miami.

This petition is meant in a fun-loving manner as there's a lot of heaviness going on in the world these days. Simply trying to give the fans something to get behind and to see that if enough noise is made, can it actually bring some change?

Spread the word, share this petition and let's see once and for all how many members of The U Family are willing to make some noise in order to get our old school, beloved mascot back! - allCanesBlog.com
