We believe that every Virgin Islander should be afforded equal rights, regardless of race, creed, gender or national origin.  Currently many Virgin Islanders are discriminated against because of whom they have chosen to commit their lives to. Marital status protections extend health coverage benefits and decisions, tax benefits, and protections for children of the marriage. It is crucial that all citizens have equal access to these protections and discrimination against same gender couples ends.
