At what is likely the busiest pedestrian intersection in the City of St. Louis, the west side crosswalk was recently removed and barricades erected to prevent pedestrians from crossing. BJC says this is a temporary removal, to last two years. Tell BJC that it's not acceptable for another day.

Pedestrian infrastucture is a smart investment when aimed at inducing more use. Here, there is indisputable demand. Even with significant barricades and even police officers stopping pedestrians, people continue to cross on the intersection's west side. Instead of removing pedestrians, every effort should be made to accomodate every use of city streets and this intersection.
