JUSTICE FOR THE RUBBER SOLDIERS: THE FORGOTTEN ARMY !

During World War II, the United States and Brazilian governments sent near 60.000 civilians, into the Amazon jungle to extract latex, so the United States could have rubber to win the war. Nearly 30,000 of them died in this mission.

The surviving Rubber Soldiers were abandoned to perish in the jungle, forgotten for decades, and without the right to a pension as war veterans.

They have been suffering, living in PRECARIOUS conditions.They are now old and debilitated, paralyzed, in hospitals beds, struggling, without the strength to demand justice. They have fought a war, but have lost this battle. (see them)

Please help the surviving Rubber Soldiers receive what they have been denied by signing this Petition, and urging the Brazilian Congress to URGENTLY grant the Rubber Soldiers a proper veteran of war pension, as well as the retroactive pay they are entitled to for their vital contribution during World War II.
