Southwest Community Center is being targeted as the ONLY center in Seattle to be closed. It serves one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the city and it is an unfair burden to ask this one area to lose its community center. Because budget cuts are needed, adjusting hours, as all of the other centers throughout the city are doing, is an equitable solution.
