Imagine telling your family that this Thanksgiving mom, dad, son, daughter, brother or sister will have to take that turkey to go, because their employer decided to open right at Thanksgiving dinner time for 26 straight hours. Sears Holdings is planning on opening at 8:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day and not close until 10:00 PM on Black Friday. Employees were not notified until recently. Sears is betting that longer hours instead of a good marketing strategy will turn their sales around.
