Hello my name is Robert. I live in Kentucky and I worked as a contractor for Safeguard Properties for 10 years, the company is a property preservation company that has contracts with many of the big banks in this country. We performed duties for their them such as lawn care and various maintenance duties as well as cleaning up and maintaining these homes to get ready for sale. Alot of this work was very hard work, very demanding and very physical. I am 62 years old, I lost my business of 20 years as a contractor due to the debt I accumulated from working for Safeguard. I am 92,000 in the hole, I have filed bankruptcy on more than one occasion. My wife and I have struggled as many have that we are now learning about as it relates to this company, it has been over 5 years almost since I last worked for Safeguard, and things are not getting any better. I see no chance or change in when I'll be able to even consider retiring. I do not own my house, I am in so much debt and for my age I don't know if this can ever change.

We accumulated all this debt working with Safeguard because they did not pay us when they were supposed to over time, and sometimes not at all, there have been many circumstances of getting checks with "$0" on them. They literally destroyed our life, and left us in financial ruin. When I spoke to a lawyer a few years back he said according to all the statements, work orders, etc, and amount of work that I performed it added up to $92,000. So this is what I demand of you Ohio state senate, and Ohio State House of Representavies, as well as the big wigs of Safeguard Properties. I want compensation for my work, for my very hard work I have done and not seen a dime of it. This is unacceptable. I hope that I can be compensated and I know that many others have been hurt by these business practices as well.
