Take assertive diplomatic action towards the Government of Sudan

Take assertive diplomatic action towards the Government of Sudan
The Issue
Constant aerial bombardment and ground fighting in the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile State of Sudan have caused half a million people to be displaced. Humanitarian assistance has been denied by the Government of Sudan. Many survive by eating leaves and wild fruits, without clean water or medicine, hiding in caves and forests; an increasing number of them do not survive.
Meanwhile, 2.5 million people remain displaced from Darfur and 300,000 are living as refugees in Chad. An escalation in violence in Darfur, blocking of humanitarian aid and denial of visas to humanitarian organisations leaves many civilian lives at risk.
Assertive diplomatic action towards the Government of Sudan is urgently required for humanitarian access and assistance.
So, in solidarity with the thousands of refugees who are fleeing their homes in Sudan, we will be walking barefoot from Lancaster Gate to Westminster at 1.30pm on 30th June to deliver this letter to the Prime Minister's office at No. 10 Downing Street.
Every day more Sudanese people are dying; please help their voices to be heard.
