Over the past winter it's been proven that Fatbikers and Skiers can get along with little to no impact to the Vasa trail given proper conditions.  Fatbikes take up less than 24" of space, have brakes and leave little to no impression with proper tire pressures.  Fatbikers represent thousands of dollars of grooming revenue and an additional volunteer base.  Removing them from a public trail would be a huge loss for Traverse City and it's residents as well as it's recreational visitors.
