Zuckfoltzfus Brewing Co., a new microbrewery and restaurant in Mount Joy, PA, has had two neighbors file petitions against its application for brewpub license which allows for tap sales and on-site consumption. In their petitions, these neighbors allege Zuckfoltzfus Brewing customers will take "their" parking and create loud noise,in addition to the loud noise they allege will be coming from music. Zuckfoltzfus Brewing has NOT applied for an entertainment license, required for any establishment who sells alcohol to have live music. There will not be music. In regards to the parking allegations, Mount Joy Borough in January thoroughly investigated the conditions of the business and suitability of it to the community in order to issue the occupancy permit. MJB found Zuckfoltzfus Brewing well within the business district and that we are compliant with their parking regulations. The strip of property being referred to by the petitioners is actually owned by Amtrak, and is not their property, nor is it owned or governed by Mount Joy Borough or the PLCB. Zuckfoltzfus has met all conditions in order to occupy the property, determined by Mount Joy Borough, and has also met all conditions to receive a PLCB brewpub license.  Please note, we have NO issue with PLCB whatsoever and have so far, found them extremely fair.  We find the neighbor's petition to not be valid grounds for our licensing to be interrupted and simply ask PLCB to recognize that.
