The Navesink library is the hub of a small, close- knit town that provides locals with educational resources as well as family programs. Closing the library would devastate the community and strip the residents of their convenient access to these resources and programs.

When I was four years old, I distinctly remember obtaining my very first library card at the Navesink Library. It must have been a very proud moment in my life to be such a clear memory all these years later. It was 1967. I went on to become a literature major and an English teacher. Please don't close this library. There are sure to be more 5 year olds like myself. Thank you.

I grew up there, and it would crush the neighborhood...

It is an historic landmark donated by the duryea family. It is a social hub with a theatre and rooms where the girlscouts meet. It is an absolute oasis on a hot summer day. to sit in one of the chairs and read in airconditioning in a setting eith a private library setting that an average person could only ever dream of having. This library is a privelege to spend time in. And gives a feeling that there are still some old fashioned community threads that connect the generations.

I grew up in the area and am very fond of historical sites.

Our children deserve a public library they can walk to from school. Many community organizations are also in support of this library. Navesink Elementary benefits from this library and it would be wrong to close off access to nearly 500 elementary students!
