The State of New Mexico, all it's communities, and the Nation stands in solidarity with us due to the negligence and incompetence of public, state, and local entities that failed to protect, Omaree Varela, from being murdered

We are demanding that Albuquerque police officers, Gil Vigil and Scott McMurrough, be fired for ignoring the explicit instructions of the 911 dispatcher and reviewing the verbal abuse that was captured on the telephone call.   Further, failing to contact the Children, Youth, and Family Department as recommended by the 911 dispatcher and as under due diligence by law.  We further call for criminal charges to be pursued for constitutional violations.

Further, Steve Caucus, the stepfather of, Omaree Varela, should face child abuse charges and be prosecuted for his verbal abuse against Omaree.

In addition, we call for the resignation of the Secretary of The Children, Youth, and Family Department, Yolanda Deines, and a complete overhaul of the Department

Therefore, we ask for your support to petition:  Interim Police Chief Allen Banks, Mayor Richard Berry, Governor Martinez, and other state officials to adhere to the above request
