"Under Sec. 212 (8 U.S.C.1182) you are ineligible to receive visas and ineligible to be admitted to the United States if you 'voluntarily admit to having committed a crime involving moral turpitude."
Over the years many Canadians have learned this lesson after being honest with border patrol agents asking about past drug use. And we're not talking about drug dealers or mega-stars like Bieber, either. These are just regular, average people now banned from crossing over. For some, that means not being able to get over the border for a job or to visit property they are otherwise legally allowed to own. People even have been prevented from flying into the U.S. after past admissions to border patrol agents. There's even one Canadian scientist banned from the U.S. because he once wrote about LSD decades ago.
Justin Bieber admitted to his illegal drug use to law enforcement during his most recent arrest in Florida and is in violation of Sec. 212 (8 U.S.C.1182). According to the law, he must be deported to Canada without discussion. The fact that he hasn't been held accountable tells the world that our laws only apply to the poor and downtrodden, while the wealthy and popular are not held accountable. This fact weakens our country, rendering our laws useless under perceived corruption.
Bring justice to this issue and deport Justin Bieber back to his home country without delay.
