MidAmerican Energy is buying up our farmland in rural Muscatine County to build a new Nuclear Power plant. They deny their plans, but have land agreements in place for nearly 800 acres of farmland. 

Nuclear power is dangerous, expensive, and unnecessary. At a time when the rest of the civilzed world is moving towards green renewable wind & solar power, MidAmerican is moving backwards and putting our future at risk. Nuclear waste is stored on site and remains dangerous & radioactive for 240,000 years, leaving a mess for future generations to someday deal with.

Many families live in this area which would become a danger zone. And it's not just them at risk. Muscatine, Louisa, Scott, Cedar, Henry, & Clinton counties would all be in the evacuation zone.
