Created July 16, 2013

The Issue

ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) who runs the top level domain .. ( like .com .net ) opened up for other general names.. like you can apply for .yourname .dog .cat... However, it becomes the big interest for the commercial .. like .hotel, .wine ,ticket
There is one application filing for ".thai" which means the country, culture, language and geological origin of product from Thailand. The applicant has not conducted the "Public Interest Commitment".
This create so many conflicts like 'Thai' is Brand for Thai aiways internationally, Also from news about this new gTLD over almost 10 business newspaper indicated to same tone -- the gTLD " .thai" should not been run by a private company that lack the proof of public interest commitment..
Therefore, we would like to ask ICANN to reject this application.
