We limit emissions of arsenic, mercury, soot and other air pollution from power plants. But not carbon pollution – until now.

President Obama and the EPA have announced a first-ever federal carbon pollution standard for every new power plant built in America. This is critically important for the climate – especially because power plants are our single largest source of carbon pollution.

But already polluters and their allies in Congress are trying to delay, weaken and block the EPA from acting. If supporters like you stand up and demand the strongest standard possible, we can ensure a cleaner, healthier future for everyone.

The unlimited dumping of carbon pollution exacerbates climate change. And that means worsening smog that causes asthma attacks, and more frequent and violent extreme weather events.
