We urge you to announce the reappointment of Kathrin Moore and Hisashi Sugaya to the Planning Commission immediately.

 We are San Franciscans concerned with land use planning, and we feel obliged to remind you that our city demands expertise and experience in our Planning Commissioners.

•  Commissioner Sugaya is an architect specializing in historic preservation.

•  Commissioner Moore, as a noted architect and urban planner, is arguably the most qualified member our Planning Commission has ever had.

These strong voices are minority members on the seven-member commission, so your reappointment of these Commissioners is particularly critical for the task of planning our city's future.
