As part of a growing green movement in the City of Youngstown, local urban farmers are urging the City Planning Commission to update current zoning codes under their new redevelopment plan to allow for small animals such as chickens and honey bees. Consultants have recommended this progressive addition to the code, which would result in clear and efficient guidelines for city residents to expand urban agriculture.
