It has recently come to light that Fishhawk Ranch has allowed the USDA, who has been hired to trap and kill wild boar, to trap (via snare traps) and kill other animals (raccoons, amadillo, coyote) because they eat the boar bait. Many residents chose to live in Fishhawk Ranch because of the 1,500 or so acres of conservation and wildlife, and do not wish for their CDD monies to be spent funding the trapping and killing of these animals. We would like to petition the CDD boards I, II, and III of Fishhawk Ranch to alter the contract with the USDA so that 1) the use of snare traps is no longer permitted, and 2) the collateral killing of wildlife is no longer permitted.
