Boulder County Parks & Open Space (BCPOS) has recently purchased a parcel of property near Sherwood Gulch. BCPOS has not yet formulated a management plan for the Sherwood Gulch trail.

Local citizens and members of the Nederland Area Trails Organization have enjoyed this very special trail over the last two decades. Being that this is our "backyard", we have a significant investment into and concerns about the future of this trail. We are asking to be an integral part of the planning of a sustainable management plan for the Sherwood Forest Trail.

The mission of the Nederland Area Trails Organization (NATO) is to support, sustain and improve the trails around Nederland, Colorado. NATO fosters learning, hands-on experience and cooperation among all user groups, as well as public land managers and private land owners, to create a safe, fulfilling, and emotionally enriching environment for appreciating our local trails and forests.
