Reinstate the Holding License for Pinal Wildlife Rescue

Reinstate the Holding License for Pinal Wildlife Rescue
The Issue
For the past nine years Betsy Lagos has presented free educational programs to dozens of schools in Pinal County, as well as rescuing hundreds of orphaned and injured birds and animals. She and her volunteers do this on a shoestring budget, their only funding coming from donations and Betsy’s own personal paycheck. Pinal Wildlife Rescue covers one of the largest and poorest areas in the state of Arizona.
We feel distressed that Arizona Game and Fish department has taken all of the educational animals and birds from this facility.
AZGF seems to care only about hunting and game animals. Their agenda appears to be to shut down all of the rehabilitation and public education in this state, beginning with PWR. Who will help the raptors, the songbirds, the reptiles and the non-game mammals when rehabilitation has been successfully suppressed? AZGF has never taken a hands-on approach to caring for these animals. If facilities like PWR are gone, there will be NO ONE to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife, or to provide interactive education for our young people.
Supporting rehabilitation and public education through the use of live animals will help our native Arizona wildlife and the migratory birds that pass through our state. Education benefits everyone, but especially the children.
