Amazon.com has decided to raise the minimum purchase required to receive free shipping from $25 to $35 -- just as the holiday shopping season starts. I’m asking them not to add an extra burden on families like mine, and to keep the free shipping minimum at $25. Please share this petition with your friends and family.

I have an 8-year-old daughter and like many families, we plan to do a lot of our holiday shopping on Amazon.com. Since we will have to either pay more to get free shipping or start paying for shipping, Amazon’s price hike will cut into our holiday shopping.

If Amazon keeps their minimum purchase for free shipping at $25, this will help everyone who uses Amazon.com to save money, afford holiday shopping, and it will ultimately help our economy. If Amazon hikes up their prices, however, all their customers will suffer and have to pay more for the same service.

The economy is bad enough right now -- Amazon shouldn’t be making their customers spend more money just to get free shipping, just as people start struggling in the holiday season.

Amazon.com, don’t put this extra burden on your customers. Keep the free shipping minimum at $25.
