Currently, there is no legal protection for students and staff at the University of Portland who are a part of a sexual minority or a gender non-conforming minority. Our campus is not exempt from sexual discrimination. Empowerment of the LGBTQ community through university policy is one of many essential steps to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment.
