私はかつて香港に住んでいた中国共産党に影響を受けていなかった時代の香港・美しい香港の住人であり、このような現状に深く憤りを感じています。2018年までには、香港は自由化政策の下で繁栄を極めていました。しかし近年、共産党の弾圧という名の下で、香港は自由と活気を失い、人口も減少し始めました。更に、香港はアジア最大の金融センターとしての地位をも失いつつあります。

香港に住んでいた私が帰国した1年後、デモが始まりました。私の家族は「早めに脱出できてよかった」と言っていましたが、とても良い状況とは言えません。私の住んでいた地域の近くの香港理工大学では学生が籠城し、警察と激しい衝突を繰り返しました。死傷者のニュースをたくさん見ました。

As a former resident of Hong Kong and beautiful Hong Kong in an era when the city was not influenced by the CCP, I am deeply upset by this situation: by 2018, Hong Kong was thriving under the liberalisation policy. However, in recent years, in the name of Communist Party repression, Hong Kong has lost its freedom and vibrancy, and its population has begun to decline. Furthermore, Hong Kong is also losing its status as Asia's largest financial centre.

A year after I returned home from living in Hong Kong, the demonstrations began. My family said they were glad to get out early, but the situation is not very good. At the Hong Kong Polytechnic University near the area where I lived, students were locked in a siege and had violent clashes with the police. I saw many news reports of casualties.

To make Hong Kong prosperous again, we call for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's rule over Hong Kong and the return of liberal democratic politics.
