私たちが緊急に内閣総理大臣へ提出する声明文を公開いたします。

私たち平和を愛する諸国民の会は、このたびのアメリカとイスラエルによるイランへの攻撃、及びイランの周辺国への軍事行動について、高市首相にぜひ日本を代表して声明文を出していただきたく、以下に意見文を送付します。
81 年間にも渡って戦争に巻き込まれなかった我が国が、今後も外交による平和を維持するためにも、そうした努力を踏みにじるような今般の武力攻撃について、いかなる国家であっても軍事力による解決を目指してはならないと、国のトップとして明示していただきたいです。
私達は中東地域が戦争状態になることが、他山の石と軽視することはできません。石油資源、それに伴うエチレン供給の低下は、日本国民の生活に重大な影響を及ぼします。
そもそもアメリカとイスラエルによるイランへの先制攻撃は、国連憲章及び国際法を無視した暴挙という他はありません。イランの国内情勢が悪化し、政府が自国民を弾圧し攻撃を行った事実については勿論言語道断です。しかしあらゆる理由があったとしても、他国が軍事的に介入をすることを是とすることはできません。
また、攻撃直前イランは交渉の場に出てきており、この攻撃はそれらの協議そのものを手放すものとなってしまいました。先述の通り平和国家として 81 年もの間非戦を貫いてきた日本の立場からすれば、本来到底容認できるものではありません。対話による外交努力をせずに、武力で攻撃することで被害を受ける人々の多くは一般市民です。
日本はアメリカと同盟関係にあり、その行動は当該国だけではなく多くの国が注目しています。同盟国の暴挙に対して時に厳しい意見を述べることも、アメリカの良きパートナーの努めであると私たちは考えています。
こうした意見に、現時点で 44,425 名の署名による賛同が集まっています（3 月 13 日現在）国民の一つの意見としてご参照ください。
日本政府が国際社会に対して平和を宣言し、あらゆる戦争に対してきっぱりと NO を言えることを、心から期待します。

Statement
To Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi
We, The Peace-Loving Citizens Association, are submitting the following statement to Prime Minister Takaichi, urging her to issue a statement on behalf of Japan regarding the recent attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran, as well as the military actions taken against Iran’s neighboring countries.
As the leader of our nation—which has remained uninvolved in war for 81 years—we ask that you clearly state, in order to maintain peace through diplomacy in the future, that no nation should seek a resolution through military force regarding this recent armed attack, which tramples upon such efforts.
We cannot dismiss the prospect of the Middle East descending into war as merely someone else’s problem. A decline in oil resources and the resulting reduction in ethylene supply would have a significant impact on the lives of the Japanese people.
To begin with, the preemptive attack on Iran by the United States and Israel can only be described as an outrageous act that disregards the UN Charter and international law. While it is, of course, utterly unacceptable that the domestic situation in Iran has deteriorated and that the government has oppressed and attacked its own citizens, no matter what the reasons may be, we cannot condone military intervention by another country.
Furthermore, Iran had come to the negotiating table just before the attack, and this strike has effectively effectively abandoned those negotiations. From the perspective of Japan—a nation that has maintained a unwavering avoidance of war for 81 years as a peaceful country—this is something that is fundamentally unacceptable. By resorting to military force without first making diplomatic efforts through dialogue, the majority of those suffering harm are ordinary civilians.
Japan is in an alliance with the United States, and its actions are closely watched not only by that country but by many others as well. We believe that speaking out strongly against the outrageous acts of an ally is part of our duty as a good partner to the United States.
As of March 13, 2026, 44,425 people have signed this petition in support of these views. Please consider this as one voice among the Japanese people.
We sincerely hope that the Japanese government will declare peace to the international community and firmly say “NO” to all forms of war.
