The Amarillo Zoo located in Thompson Memorial park  is tragically small for the amount of animals there are to live comfortably as they do in their homes of individual origin points. The City's Parks and recreation office  for Thompson Memorial Park has more than enough property to expand the living space of these  unique as well as  breathtaking Animals living in Amarillo Zoo! The staff and Zoo keepers do a wonderful job taking care of these animal but are limited to the funding provided by the city.  Im striving to get this petition to replace some of the other grounds within  Thomson memorial park replaced with Amarillo Zoo lot instead to give these Animals as much space as possible. My wife as well as many others have spoke for these Animals  multiple times but to no prevail!   We can all hopefully agree that land would be suited best for living, breathing, loving animals who call it home. Instead of mostly unused lots for social sporting ventures. These Animals don't have a voice to speak but We do!! We have to be more empathetic and understanding to care of the Animals!!!
