Of the literally hundreds of emails and handwritten letters I've sent to animal organisations, clubs, charities, newspapers and well-known individuals, I have received a handful of acknowledgements. Three of these were from Dames. They all supported and signed the petition but very graciously said they didn't know how else to help because they were not on social media.

I've delayed posting this update because I find it SO depressing to see less than 1500 votes in the past three weeks, and only a couple of hundred this week. The thing is flatlining, despite all of your effort.

It really needs to be picked up by SOMEONE who has a big social media following. If that were to happen, it is more likely to get noticed by the press who are currently ignoring my emails. 

Please, please try to think of anyone you know, however vaguely, who could help with this. Something happened in week three which sent the signatures rocketing - I still don't know what it was - but we need it to happen again!

I don't want to give up.
