This is a petition for a zebra crossing to be put into place by a church and The Vibe youth club, parsonage street aswell as a sports bar with a drop down curb the direct opposite side.

I am calling for this as I am an electric wheelchair user and very narrowly avoided being hit as a car stopped for me, when the car behind decided to overtake whilst I was already crossing. If I went further down the road to cross this is next to a roundabout where the one side of the traffic often comes whizzing round and can’t stop in time for anyone to be crossing to the little island less than 10 seconds later. Furthermore the safety of the community is paramount and often people are running across the road.

It could have been a very different story and I want this to be in place before a fatality does happen on what is a main road into the town.
