The City of Wanneroo is proud to announce the installation of LifeVac devices in 10 council-managed public facilities — because every second counts and every breath matters.
This achievement wouldn’t have happened without the passion and leadership of Councillor Smith, the strong support of the Mayor, and a unanimous vote from the entire Council.

We are not here to replace — we are here to add a final layer of protection when all else fails. Let’s work together, not against each other. When it comes to saving lives, we are all on the same team.
👉 This one was headed for defeat — but we snatched it from the jaws of defeat through the rally of the community and a wave of public outcry.
👉 This was a hard-fought hallelujah.
There were doubters. There was resistance. But purpose — and people — prevailed.
This one was for Zaza’s best friend, who lives in the City of Wanneroo.
It was for the countless lives lost to choking.
And I stand here — the physical and visible representation of those countless unheard voices.
