Today marks the one-year anniversary of the end of John Matulevich's 4,000-mile cross country cycle for charity. In order to commemorate this past achievement--while looking to the future--John is announcing his intent to break the world record for fastest paddleboard crossing from Havana, Cuba to Key West, Florida.

This world-record attempt aims to raise $500,000 for a handful of carefully selected 501(c)(3) non-profits whose work is focused around water clean up initiatives both inland and at-sea.

Currently advising John on this project are Ben Friberg of Chattanooga, TN, the first person in history to make the Havana to Key West crossing via paddleboard, as well as, former Olympic Gold-Medalist and swimming world-record holder Brendan Hansen of Austin, TX.

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please sign our petition to help get Yuengling, America's Oldest Brewery, to be one of the event's primary sponsors. Since Yuengling is both John's hometown brewery and operates a second plant in Tampa, Florida (the same state as the finish line for the world record paddle), Yuengling is uniquely positioned to have a large impact on this project.

For Yuengling to be a primary event (Gold) sponsor, they would need to provide $15,000 for event expenses plus raise $50,000 to be donated to the non-profits that we are aiming to help. The first gold sponsor for this project will also be given the status of title sponsor.
