Hey everyone, it’s been a little while since my last update, but I wanted to share something important.

Recently, I was personally hit by YouTube’s new age verification system - despite being a monetized creator whose information YouTube already has.

When it happened, I spent around 30 minutes talking to YouTube’s chat support, and they had no idea what was going on. They couldn’t tell me:

• Whether this was tied to my YouTube or Google account
• What areas of my account it would affect
• Where I was even supposed to verify
• Or why it happened in the first place

That’s not reassuring at all - especially when this system is already confusing, invasive, and inconsistent.

If creators who are verified and monetized are being hit by this too, it really makes you wonder how widespread this will get, and what it means for users moving forward.
