We all love the commentary function on Youtube. Hours of laughter and eye-opening moments through intelligent comments made us all happy and become better people.

Even on automatic generated music-uploads (so called "Artclips") were lots of high-class comments written that made us enjoy listening to music on Youtube more than on the other music-streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music. Reading great comments of persons that listen to the same music as yourself is just one reason why we all love Youtube.

On 14th December of 2020, Youtube decided to close the commentary section on all automatic generated music-uploads. Millions of comments are gone. Artists, labels and fans now lost their possibility to gain feedback, speak with each other and make their own music more famous.

Using the commentary section was the only real competitive advantage Youtube had as a music service compared to the other streaming services. Therefore: why should we still listen to music on Youtube, when they lost their only real competitive advantage? There is no more real reason why we shouldn't all switch to the competitors in music streaming now except that we have our Youtube accounts for years...

So Youtube/Google: Please reactivate the commentary function on the "Artclips".

By the way: I'm a premium user and its my first time ever thinking about cancelling my subscription. Switching to Spotify or Apple Music because of their more intelligent playlists and possibility to compare with friends just seems way more attractive now :(
