Application re-submitted....and important Zoning meeting!!

The company has reapplied to the County Zoning and should be scheduled for the March 10th meeting. However....

On February 21, 2022 at the York County Council meeting they will vote on the third reading and final vote on the new zoning rules and regulations and will go into effect on March 1st. Both the first reading (December 20, 2021) and second reading (January 18, 2022) passed unanimously. This would  mean that the quarry company would have to go through a zoning change to a R1. I was told that if County Council passes the third reading beginning March 1st all zoning would have to comply with the new zoning rules and regulations.

So what does this mean for us?
We need to monitor the County Council passing the third reading of the new zoning. I would suggest we attend a public hearing Monday February 7th at 6pm at the York County Government Center at 6 Congress Street. I would also suggest we attend the County Council meeting on February 21, 2022 and speak for the positive vote on the new zoning rules.
