Recently, wireless announced that Ye would be headlining all three nights of the festival. Being his first UK show in a decade this sparked a lot of excitement for British fans, however along with that excitement came heavy criticism - with claims from the prime minister himself that Ye should not be allowed to perform. This is shocking, when Ye said all of the controversial things he said, it is now apparent that he was struggling with mental illnesses and at the time was trapped in a manic episode. The UK is showing that they do not value apologies, they do not give people opportunities to change and they do not care if someone is struggling mentally. Ye should be allowed to perform, especially after wireless have already announced that he will be headlining all three nights. Myself and thousands of other british citizens have purchased wireless tickets already, a lot of individuals will not have purchased ticket insurance to go along with that which will result in thousands of people losing hundreds of pounds over cancellation. On top of this, a lot of individuals will never have the opportunity to witness Ye perform live ever again. A man should not be banned from a country for being mentally ill, especially when the government doesnt focus on bigger issues within Britain right now, such as the cost of living crisis.
