Don’t let Yarra Council steal your parkland!
We have been fighting for nearly 4 years to stop the bike path through Rushall Reserve.
We are now getting to the end of this process as the Planning Application PL18/0456 to build the pathway, remove mature trees and asphalt over vegetation is coming to Council soon.
WE NEED YOUR HELP - we do not have enough objections lodged with City of Yarra to stop this imminent destruction.
Council plans to steal 33% of the usable parkland from Rushall Reserve and spend an estimated 1.6 million dollars, and more, to make it happen—every cent of it coming from ratepayer funds.
This community asset was a disused tip in 1978. Today it is a thriving, bushy park because local residents, schools and community groups spent 15 years clearing, weeding and planting out the area. It is our park!
We have made it really easy for you to object online to the granting of this destructive planning permit. The objection will be received by Yarra Planning, all Councillors and as a submission to the Yarra 2019/20 Budget. Note that you can also add personal comments at the end of the objection.
