Friends,
Erin here, from our original trail campaign, with an urgent update on the Yamhelas-Westsider Trail.
It’s been a minute since we first launched this fight to save the Yamhelas-Westsider Trail, an effort rooted in a simple belief that everyone in Yamhill County - from families and kids, to pedestrians and cyclists - should have safe, outdoor spaces to explore our beautiful community.
But without your help today, our trail could be lost forever.
On December 4th the Yamhill County Planning Commission will vote to remove the Yamhelas‑Westsider Trail from the county’s Transportation System Plan. This vote is the first step toward selling the publicly owned trail corridor. Once it is removed the trail is finished.
We need you to show up now to save the Yamhelas-Westsider Trail:
SIGN the new petition to save the trail and make your voice heard. Every signature counts and shows the County that the public will not stand by while our trail is taken.
SHOW UP at the public hearing on December 4th at 7 PM at 535 E Fifth Street, McMinnville. Bring your energy, your stories, and your support. This is the moment that will decide the trail’s future.
SUPPORT TRAILSPAC with a contribution. They are covering legal costs, outreach, and organizing so we can win.
