I visited the NHS shelter yesterday to drop off the adoption money for the last two kittens we adopted out and in hopes of speaking with Executive Director Henny Venus. Unfortunately he was no on site at that time.
I spoke with an NHS staff member who had to fight back tears when I asked how they were doing. Staff have been left with no support and are feeling incredibly overwhelmed and vulnerable.
This employee stated that Shanika "was the best manager I ever had" and " I am the only person here with more than one day of experience"
The NHS and Community are paying Executive Director Henny Venus a very competitive wage ( should this not be public info since it is paid by public funds?) and as such there should be an expectation of professionalism...and where are the Human Resources standards?
To be honest I wish I had been paying more attention earlier.
They say something good comes out of something bad right? The something good is that the NHS board and Executive Director must be accountable to the community for the decisions they are making utilizing the funds they receive as charitable donations.
We want public access to meeting minutes and a full review into this situation.
