Lower speed restrictions in Hanbury Worcestershire to 30mph

The Issue

I have lived in the village of Hanbury for over 3 years now and the speed at which cars come flying round the bend on the B4090 during the day and night is frightening and the crossroads near a local craft centre, Jinney Ring, is also very dangerous.
There has already been a near fatal incident in 2019 (to be honest, I don’t even know if the guy survived or not!) and numerous times cars have crashed into the metal railings on the bend and ended up in the garden of a house.
There are a lot of children that live in this village, some of which need to walk to their school bus stop. I am also a parent and it’s a constant worry!
At night the noise of the cars and motorbikes speeding through the village is a major nuisance and it’s just more accidents waiting to happen.
We are a country village and many horse riders have issues with the speed of vehicles too.
There is also a village first school located where the speed limit of the road is 40mph and this also should be highly reduced to 20mph and they have petitioned for this on the past and not succeeded.
In 2017 staff and parents of children at Hanbury C of E First School were calling for action to slow traffic down on School Road. It is currently a national speed limit road which drops to 40 mph near the school but campaigners, who have worked tirelessly for years because of safety fears, want it decreased to at least 30 mph. There has been three car crashes in recent years, including one which left a 41-year-old woman with injuries to her neck.
It is time that something is done!  Please help us in signing this petition to make our home safer for all of our residents and our children and those that are visiting or passing through the village.
