Most of today's modern society use an excessive amount of fossil fuels , or things that may leave a big carbon footprint. The use of wood is also a big problem because without them , floods are a greater risk  . By reducing our carbon footprint ,use of wood and fossil fuels our community as a civilisation will only thrive to protect not only our lives,  but the planets too. Deforestation is a major obstacle we have not overcome yet , but they not only endanger our lives , but wildlife too!  Sloths in Venezuela are exposed daily to the cutting of their habitat  and we are slowly killing their kind . When we look back at  this in 60 years,  where humanity has killed wildlife , our offspring will ask the cause of why they exist no more. Will we really let them know that WE are why they cannot see them anymore? Of course , sloths are not the only endangered species we are putting at risk , but another main animal is the polar bear. I'm sure you know that ice caps are melting at an incredible rate. Why may that be ? Our carbon footprint is why! Since the 1980's we have enlarged our business with petrol from venezuela ie .. Not only has it caused major economic problems for their country, but a drastic change in the purity of our air as the  carbon we emit Is trapped in our atmosphere ! This petition will help  raise awareness about this crisis  , and gain the opportunity to take matters in our own hands by raising money to plant more trees( in the case of deforestation) and raise money to aid in cutting the use of our fossil fuel- diet.

In addition to my statement ,  another important issue to discuss is how we can we can change this .

For starters , we can change how much we use transport by taking a walk,  depending on  the distance you need to walk ,or even reusing plastic bottles, or containers . 

 We can also make sure we are being efficient by making sure we do not mix plastic with general waste in the garbage bins .

   For once , let's make a change in the way we do things. One step for man , one step for the planet !
