The actor who has played Channel 4's beloved weather mascot for 24 years, Steven Good, confirmed today his position was eliminated, one of at least half a dozen employees who were told to leave the station immediately Wednesday.
There's no word on if WSMV will keep the mascot alive.
The station is between general managers — a new one is supposed to arrive in a few weeks — and the station's human resources director, Deborah Mills, did not immediately return a phone call for comment.
