Cheshire West and Chester Council have today announced that they will reduce the speed limit to 30 mph on Wrexham Road. This would not have happened without the support everyone who signed this petition. THANK YOU to everyone who signed,  THANK YOU to everyone who has supported this campaign in other ways, and THANK YOU to CWaC for listening. 

There is still much to be done to ensure there are lasting changes to protect the safety of school children and all pedestrians at this crossing. This will require collaboration between the council, the school and the community. 

We hope that it will ultimately be possible to reduce the speed further to 20mph,  improve the timings for pedestrians, and the implement enforcement measures to reduce the chances of further incidents.
