Change dog breed standards to reflect health over appearance

The Issue

There are many breeds of dogs that have been selectively bred for characteristics that are damaging to their health. Examples include respiratory problems in pugs, bulldogs and other breeds with "squashed faces"; hind leg and hip problems in German Shepherds, Autoimmune disease in Siberian Huskies. There are many other examples of different breeds with different problems that have been caused by humans (led by the Kennel Club) selectively breeding them. It will take many years for genetic problems to be bred out. This petition is to raise awareness of people that can group together to get the Kennel Club to encourage it's members to breed healthy dogs for show purposes rather than breeding them for certain looks.
