Petitioning Working Class Movement Library

Support the Working Class Movement Library!

Julie Bindel is, and has been, a tireless campaigner for women and girls.
She is a respected journalist, author and writes extensively on issues that affect women such as prostitution, surrogacy and male violence.
The Working Class Movement Library in Salford have booked Julie to come and speak on the 4th February about her life as a Working Class lesbian - an event which many of us welcome and are looking forward to.
Sadly, the event is under threat from activists who believe Julie to be 'transphobic,' 'bigoted' and/or 'hateful.'
Julie is none of these things. However, she does question and challenge perceived truths about sex and gender.
The purpose of this petition is to counteract the damage being done to the Working Class Movement Library, its funding and reputation, and to offer our support and solidarity to a much needed and valued organisation.
