PRIMARK BOSTON NEEDS TO BE UNION!

PRIMARK BOSTON NEEDS TO BE UNION!
The Issue
Workers at Primark's first U.S. store should be represented by UFCW Local 1445 and here is why.
Primark is a clothing retailer from Ireland that operates in a number of European countries.
Primark has a self-promoted proud history of ethical treatment of workers throughout its entire supply chain, and the company’s workforce in other countries enjoy Union contracts providing good pay, benefits, protections, dignity and respect. UFCW Local 1445 request is for Primark to let the workers here in the U.S. have access to the same benefits as the workers in other countries.
The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union represents over 1 million workers in retail across the country.
For decades UFCW Local 1445 had represented the employees at the Filene's Basement located at Downtown Crossing in Boston before they closed a few years ago.
The city of Boston has a strong tradition of promoting jobs for the working class that are truly sustainable and benefit the entire community, and Local 1445 has a long history of helping provide employees at the Downtown Crossing site jobs with livable wages and adequate benefits.
