For decades, online piracy has plagued due to legal services becoming more fragmented, expensive, and inconvenient, and while entertainment companies have tried site or DNS blocking by lobbying, which has just resulted in more finding out about them.

The unified solution must and should include the following solutions:

1. Price reductions and discounts so people will be able to afford them, especially for regions where wages are low
2. No content removals so people will not have to pirate some shows because there is no legal choice to even see them
3. Expand availability and licensing globally so that some regions will not have to pirate just to watch shows and movies

The plan, if executed correctly, would benefit the companies financially and make legal streaming more viable again.

If nothing is done about this, torrent-based and streaming-based piracy will keep growing while streaming services will get left in the dust.
