Save Bromsgrove's Disability Centre From Closure!

Save Bromsgrove's Disability Centre From Closure!
The Issue
Tory controlled Worcestershire County Council are now reviewing all of their day centres that give free short term support to adults who have a disability. Day centres across the County are being faced with closure including Wendron Centre if ‘consultation’ goes against them.
We oppose the Tory plans which could lead to the closure of Wendron Centre; a move that would harm some of the most vulnerable in our community. This is part of county-wide action fighting the closure of both over and under 18 disability centres.
The Wendron Centre and others like it are vital to the well-being, security and support for both those with disabilities and their families. Closing centres, shutting down support and carrying out cuts to these services is shameful and will barely scratch the surface of the deepening financial troubles the county council finds itself embroiled in.
