The Woolworths Rosanna proposal was given permission by council to remove many trees! Some of these significant trees are not located on the development site, but are community assets belonging to the library or the streetscape. The removal of any of these large beautiful trees on Turnham Ave to accommodate a supermarket is an unacceptable outcome. These trees are part of the wildlife corridor and have been claimed as being habitat to the endangered Swift Parrot. We are fighting to maintain Rosanna's 'leafy' character. Presently, funds are being collected to cover the cost of expert reports and witness in VCAT specifically to save these trees. Can you help? Please donate generously. RAWR!
