This is the nagging question which remains unanswered after being asked at the last council meeting and also asked yesterday of councillor, Tom Melican. (Cr Melican unexpectedly turned up to the petition meeting yesterday...) More to come....HOWEVER.... Today's developments: After an extensive chat with Cr Tom Melican this morning, he has two actions to take to tonight's meeting with fellow councillors. (Not public) 1. Discussion with councillors with the aim to getting an urgent intervention to the Notice of Decision (to allow the planning permit) by requesting the Minister for Planning "call in" this decision. 2. Discussion with the aim to getting a new rezoning process underway, allowing for numerous issues raised in the planning application process to be considered in the rezoning process (where they weren't previously) I understand that Cr Melican can make these motions at next weeks public council meeting so that councillors can take a public vote. Next Council Meeting: 11th July 7.30 public forum, 7.45 council meeting.
